THE ONE* CHURCH STORY

In September of 2006, ONE* Church officially launched in Spokane Valley. The
name ONE* comes from Ephesians 4:4-6, “There is one body and one Spirit,
just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith,
one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in
all.” This has shaped who they are as a church.

ONE* has made it their mission to build a vibrant, active community of Christ-
followers around their core values. They welcome un-churched people to their

family and provide a safe and comfortable place to explore faith. ONE*
provides clear steps for connection that removes some of the confusion and
intimidation that can come from starting fresh in a new church environment.

As this life-giving church continues to grow and expand their reach
throughout greater Spokane, the real story of ONE*’s history is comprised of
individual stories of lives who have been changed by the power of Jesus. With
a mission to help people find and follow Jesus Christ, hundreds of people
respond to Christ each year. Many then get engaged in the mission and give
sacrificially of their time, their talents, and their treasure to help fulfill the
mission of ONE*. With multiple community partners, ONE* is reaching the
community in unique and strategic ways. ONE* is a multi-site church that
meets at two different locations on Sunday mornings in Spokane Valley and
Mead. They also have additional gatherings and outreach opportunities each
week through Celebrate Recovery, prison ministry, and a food pantry that
feeds up to 1,200 people each month at their outreach campus which is also
located in Mead. This is an amazing time to become part of a dynamic and
growing team of people who are passionately and courageously engaging
their culture for Jesus!

JOB SUMMARY

The Worship Experience Director’s mission is to help people find and follow Jesus Christ by creating an environment where those attending ONE* are moved to worship through musical, creative, and visual arts. They will help inspire people to grow in relationship with Jesus through an excellent worship experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the creative team to collaborate and plan the creative elements for upcoming series, events, and services
• Lead and oversee Sunday morning worship
• Lead and oversee youth worship (once a month)
• Oversee set design for the worship experience
• Meet with the Campus Pastor(s) weekly to evaluate the previous worship experience and plan for upcoming series and messages
• Communicate the weekly worship experience plans and strategy to the team
• Collaborate with other team players to innovate and improve the overall worship experience
• Teach 10-12 times a year at campus
• Assist the Campus Pastor(s) to lead campus pastorally
• Continue to learn and grow as a disciple of Jesus Christ and a leader
• Recruit, train, and facilitate the growth of the worship experience team and the overall growth of ONE*
