THE FREEDOM CHURCH STORY

Freedom Church is a Bible-believing, spirit-filled, Kingdom-focused church. Freedom Church is physically located in the heart of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex but impacts members throughout the country. Our Lead Pastor, Robert White, started Freedom Church (formerly Cornerstone Church North) to see people come to know Christ and live fully and completely in the life they were created to have. After being sent out and blessed by his pastor and overseer, Pastor William Dwight McKissic, Robert and a faithful group of people launched Freedom Church on February 10, 2013, in Bedford, TX.The first service held at the Old Bedford Library had 213 adults and 35 kids in attendance, and 13 people gave their lives to Christ! After a few months of meeting at the Old Bedford Library, Freedom began meeting at the Bedford Boys Ranch and continued to meet there for two and a half years. On September 13, 2015, Freedom Church moved into its current location where it began to see its first true signs of growth and life, going from an average attendance of 65 to 125. By 2020, Freedom Church was running two experiences and seeing over 400 people in attendance weekly. After the pandemic, Freedom has recovered and is again running its pre-COVID numbers. Today, Freedom is in a season of momentum and excitement. They are lo oking for dynamic leaders who want to be a part of building what God has started and will undoubtedly complete. They are in a prime position to grow spiritually, numerically, and financially. They are also looking for their first permanent location/campus.The mission of Freedom Church is to move people into Freedom through the love and power of Jesus Christ! The heart of Freedom Church revolves around three key words FAITH, FAMILY, a nd FORWARD. They believe it is their call to transform the communities around them as they are changed by God from the inside out. In other words, “We Live Faith Forward!”

JOB SUMMARY

The role of the Worship Director is to lead all aspects of worship life within Freedom Church. This involves envisioning, equipping, and empowering the musical talents of a paid and volunteer team of singers, musicians, and production techs. The Worship Director shepherds people into authentic worship through the experience of music and will also be the primary worship leader.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as the primary worship leader for Freedom Church
• Build, direct, coordinate, and develop the worship team, including musicians and vocalists
• Lead weekly rehearsals for the team and schedule team members
• Coordinate and participate in meetings with production and creative team
• Assist with providing music at occasional services such as prayer meetings, weddings, funerals, etc
• Train or facilitate training for singers, musicians, and production team members
• Manage and maintain the musical instruments and music technology equipment, keeping up to date with developments
• Manage the music budget in accordance with the financial policies of the church
• Build a library of music and support materials
• Pastor, coach, and care for all worship team members; equipping them for the work of the ministry
