Kenneth Leonard

Pastor Kenneth Leonard Jr. is a purpose-driven spiritual leader using his voice to guide others to greatness. Leonard has worked in ministry for the majority of his life, and in 2014, he followed the Lord’s call to ministry. Today, he serves as Lead Pastor at The Purpose Place, which he founded with his wife Natasha in 2020. He relishes the opportunity to guide his congregation toward the Word and restore hope to the community. Service has always played an important role in Leonard’s life. He grew up in Franklinton, North Carolina, and quickly connected with the immeasurable value of church and community. Today, his mission is to help as many people as possible find their purpose, using principle-centered living to guide them towards their best lives. Outside of the church, Leonard is passionate about helping musicians and others reach new levels of success. His career began in the music industry, where his production credits earned two Dove awards, four GRAMMY nominations, and countless other accolades. In addition to producing and songwriting credits, Leonard also created the HISound musician fellowship, which offers mentorship and community for musicians across the industry. Leonard is also a successful entrepreneur, with multiple thriving businesses under his belt. Beyond The Purpose Place and the HISound fellowship, he also runs Leonard Realty real estate, Stage Right Productions, and The Athlete’s Foot, which he co-founded with his wife. Leonard holds a Bachelor’s degree in engineering from North Carolina State University and is an active member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity,Inc. He enjoys spending his free time playing basketball, catching up with friends, or relishing family time at home with his wife and their four kids, Alanaa, Nehemiah, Symphony, and Asher.
