THE TRANSFORMATION CHURCH STORY
Transformation Church w as founded as Middletown Assembly of God in 1944. In 1955, the church moved from a storefront in Middletown to a chur ch building on Cottage Street and was renamed Trinity Assembly o f God. In 1982, a new church was built and the Church moved from Cottage S treet to our present location on Blumel Road. In 1992, the church expanded and built our present auditorium which is phase two of a three-phase project. From 1992 to 2009, the church went through some ups and downs. A once thriving congregation began to decline. In 2009, Pastor Joe and Ruth became the Senior Pastors o f Transformation and have been leading the turnaround ever since. T he church grew from 90 people attending to 800 attendees and three Sunday services with 150 kids attending on Sundays. In 2011 T rinity Assembly o f God was renamed Transformation Church. In 2019, the chur ch planted Fusion Church in Fishkill and released the Executive Pastor and 50 people to plant and establish that church which is no w a n independent church. In 2020, TC was crippled by COVID and was pus hed back by 10 years. However, over the past three years, the y have slowly bounced back and have grown to 1,000 attendees, with 400 people attending in person on Sundays and 100 online. They will hopefully surpass 2020 numbers in 2024. Hiring a Children’s Pastor is an integral part of that comeback. Our dream is to build the third phase of our facility, which will include a 600-seat auditorium. T ransformation Church is a multicultural, multi ethnic, and multi generational church and we are excited to see where God takes us next!

JOB SUMMARY
The Children’s Ministries Director is responsible for the development and implementation of the vision, strategy, and tactical elements for all programs, activities, and educational aspects related to Children’s Ministry at Transformation Church. Specifically, the Children’s Ministries Director is responsible for all children’s programs on Sundays, Kids Camp, kids ministry for special services and events, and all kids outreach events like Halloween, Easter, etc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead, grow, and innovate TC Children’s Ministry – including everything from curriculum and teaching, to safety and security, to volunteer recruitment and training
- Develop and implement the vision for children’s ministries (CM) in collaboration with the Leadership Team
- Provide strategic leadership and planning initiatives for CM staff
- Set direction and training for CM staff and volunteers
- Offer pastoral care and encouragement to CM staff and volunteers
- Develop processes necessary for effective CM operations (e.g.: check-in)
- Oversee CM budget and financial oversight
- Oversee the selection and implementation of the curriculum
- Develop communication plans to keep staff, volunteers, and parents informed
- Responsible for all staffing of CM (including training)
- Manage communications between ministries that interact with CM
- Develop and implement all safety and security processes for CM in cooperation with the church’s safety and security team
- Oversee and implement all programming for CM (Infants-5th grade)
- Coordinate family events and camps for CM parents and families
