THE CELEBRATION CHURCH STORY
In 2000, as Pastors Joe and Lori Champion were praying about
where to plant a life-giving church, they both heard from the
Lord, “It is Austin”.
Later that year, Pastors Joe and Lori packed up their three
young boys and moved from Louisiana to Round Rock, Texas.
The church started in the Round Rock Public library, but quickly
outgrew capacity and the church moved to the Wingate hotel,
then a retail space on Chisholm Trail.
Today, Celebration Church has an on-line presence and global
locations in Texas, Italy, and Africa with additional campuses in
development. More than twenty years later, we celebrate all that
God has done and the many lives that have been impacted.

JOB SUMMARY
Celebration Church is hiring a Kids Pastor who will lead and
oversee the vibrant and growing Celebration KiDS ministry for
ages birth to 5th grade. This is a central role that will oversee
the KiDS ministry at multiple Celebration Church locations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES &
RESPONSIBILITES
Leadership
- Collaborate with the Celebration Next Gen Pastor to ensure alignment and a
cohesive strategy in ministering to parents and their children from birth
through 5th grade - Implement initiatives for church-wide KiDS ministry growth and health towards
goals as defined by Celebration Leadership - Responsible for modeling and carrying the culture of Celebration Church within
KiDS ministry - Consistently communicate the vision of Celebration Church to Dream Team
and staff, provide vision and standards and ensure a vibrant KiDS ministry
culture of creativity and excellence at all locations - Collaborate with the Student team to ensure seamless transition experiences
from the KiDS ministry to the Students ministry - Monitor the effectiveness of the KiDS ministry, identify deficiencies, and
develop innovative methods for improvement to create excellence in all areas - Communicate regularly and effectively with parents about ministry goals,
activities, spiritual growth plans, and serving opportunities for the whole family - Oversee direction for curriculum across all locations for services, Pursuit
Nights/Weeks, and All-Stars - Represent the KiDS ministry through speaking or presence at designated
events and activities - Be a visible weekend presence in KiDS environments to connect with parents
and guests - Lead central KiDS ministry meetings and meet with campus KiDs staff
consistently - Provide feedback to leadership across locations to ensure consistent KiDS
ministry experiences - Responsible for ensuring staff direct reports are led, developed, and supported
within their areas - Recruit, encourage, and appreciate Kids Dream Teams
Pastoral
Pastor and care for families to further spiritual and personal development
Pastor families as needed during services on day of baptisms and parent-child
dedications
Fulfill pastoral responsibilities as outlined in the Pastoral Role Essentials
agreement
Administrative
- Develop and implement best practices for ministry moments within the KiDS
ministry, including but not limited to: contacting families after a child prays the
salvation prayer to resource them with next steps; parent child dedication best
practices - Ensure parents and children have a clear understanding of the
process and are ready to participate in child baptisms, etc. - Lead vision and planning efforts for church-wide Kids ministry events, such as KiDS Camp
- Oversee Celebration KiDS ministry policies are followed across all Celebration
locations - Provide regular status reporting to NextGen Pastor and Leadership Teams on
ministry metrics, health, and operations
Financial
- Lead annual KiDS departmental budgeting across locations
- Review church-wide KiDS budgets monthly, ensuring resources are stewarded
wisely - Maintain up to date expense report as needed

Austin is the state capital of Texas, an inland city
bordering the Hill Country region. Home to the
University of Texas flagship campus, Austin is
known for its eclectic live-music scene centered
around country, blues and rock. Its many parks and
lakes are popular for hiking, biking, swimming and
boating. The greater Austin (Pflugerville, Round
Rock, and Hutto) area is a unique place where
